About

Systems Engineer and Data Platforms Specialist with 4+ years of hands-on experience in Linux infrastructure administration, big data ecosystems (Cloudera/Apache Hadoop stack), workflow orchestration, and full-stack automation tooling. Currently at ČEZ Distribuce, administering production Cloudera CDH clusters (HDFS, YARN, Kafka, Hive, Impala, HBase, Spark) on RHEL, running Apache Airflow with LDAP auth and TLS, and building Prometheus/Grafana monitoring and Python/Ansible automation tooling.

I've moved past entry-level work — I design and own production systems end-to-end rather than just following runbooks — but I'm not claiming senior yet either; I call myself a medior and I'm deliberate about closing the gaps that matter next: currently deepening QEMU/KVM virtualization to round out my hypervisor experience beyond Proxmox.

Outside of work, I run a Proxmox-based home lab with ZFS storage, GPU passthrough, and containerized services, and build efficient, maintainable systems — from enterprise deployments to custom C utilities. I keep overhead low and reliability high, in production and at home.

Currently learning: QEMU/KVM (deepening hypervisor breadth beyond Proxmox VE), continuing to build out Ansible-based automation.

Location & work mode: Based in Nový Jičín. Open to roles in Prague, Olomouc, Ostrava, Opava, and the surrounding areas, plus remote/hybrid. Ostrava and Opava are commutable now; for Prague, Olomouc, or elsewhere I'd need lead time to relocate.

    Administer production Cloudera CDH 7.1.9 clusters (HDFS, YARN, Kafka, Hive, Impala, HBase, Spark) on RHEL. Deployed Apache Airflow 3.0.6 with LDAP auth and nginx/TLS, plus a zero-downtime SQLite backup/restore system.
